The works at the university hospital in Aydin are nearing completion as we approach the final leg of BRICKER. Both passive and active systems are progressing steadily and the supplier of the adsorption chiller has recently been Turkey to oversee its installation.

Works at the Liège demo site have been continuing with much of the façade refurbishment, wall insulation and piping system now completed.

In August, many of us were soaking up the sun or hiking in the mountains, but BRICKER’s Onur Gunduru from Turkey had a different agenda; he was busy hackin’ and breakin’ by invitation of ENSIA, a Turkish organisation aimed at clustering renewable energy business segments. 

The tendering rounds for passive and active systems and delivery processes of the various products have been completed. 

Despite delays due to bad weather conditions over the winter, the works at the Liège demo site have been progressing steadily over the last few months. 

Spreading the word could well sum up the BRICKER activities of Özyeğin University’s Centre for Energy, Environment and Economy (CEEE) during the last few months of 2016. 

In Aydın, works for the insulation, façades and the solar field are progressing.

Since autumn last year, the works at the demo site in Liège have been gaining momentum. 

Some 100 delegates and speakers met in the Meuse Rhine Euroregion (in local languages) on 7 September to look at how the partner regions could use their research and innovation capabilities to address the structural and energy challenges ahead.

At the Aydın demo site the interventions are gradually taking shape and the team met twice in September.

At the moment there is a buzz about the Aydın demo site at the Adnan Menderes University (ADU) in Turkey.

BRICKER was showcased at demosite in Liège

Into the heart of the matter: students and staff at Liège demo to be briefed on BRICKER as works get underway.

The concepts for Adnan Menderes University Hospital located in Aydın Turkey are now clarified and ready to be introduced through tendering process by the university in August 2015.

The Province of Liège has scheduled all installation works of innovative technologies from the BRICKER Project over two different budgetary years: 2014 and 2015.

For the Belgian demonstration building, SPB launched a public tender in October 2014 to renovate the main façade of this building.

During the last General Assembly, the BRICKER partners visited the demo building in presence of Ms Carolina Grau, Director General for Industry and Energy of the Government of Extremadura. Monitoring of the building before and after intervention was in the focus of the visit.

A Panel on Energy Efficiency in the Public Sector organized by Adnan Menderes University and Aydin Province was held on May 28, 2014 in ADU Ataturk Congress Center.

The final area and the layout of the solar collectors in the Turkish demo site is ready.
